Vision-based ADAS Algorithm Engineer


Role & Responsibilities

  • Development and analysis of algorithms to support Advanced Driver-Assist Technologies
  • Develop functional algorithms that provide outstanding behavior for features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking, Cross-Traffic Alert, Active Park Assist, and 360 Camera Systems
  • Application of controls and system identification methods such as Adaptive Control, and Machine Learning
  • Application of vision-based identification and control methods
  • Signal processing and sensor fusion, including real-time data processing
  • Algorithm development, verification, and validation in the simulation environment
  • Lead the development of algorithm specifications (requirement elicitation), FMEAs, robustness disciplines, and design validation plans
  • Understand sensor system interactions to identify possible improvements and trade-offs. Identify changes needed to improve performance and meet objectives


[Basic Qualifications]

  • Masters / Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field, with emphasis on control systems or robotics
  • 2+ years of experience (working or academic) programming in C++ and/or Python
  • Good problem-solving skills and innovative thinking
  • Excellent written and oral communications
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and strong technical communication skills
  • Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skill and curiosity


[Preferred Qualifications]

  • 2+ year of experience (working or academic) in the development/implementation of control and estimation, signal processing, machine learning, or computer vision techniques
  • 1+ year of experience (working or academic) developing embedded control software
  • Preferred Experience with object tracking, Kalman filtering, and path planning.
  • Experience with Git, Github, Jira, Agile, Enterprise Architect (UML, SysML), and MISRA
  • Experience unit test with GTEST
  • Knowledge of automotive standard development processes such as Automotive SPICE and ISO2626 Functional Safety
  • Experience in robotics or ADAS
  • Production algorithm development experience
