Role & Responsibilities

  • Location: Friedrichshafen, Germany
  • Provide engineering supports for sales activities as well as software development projects engaging with automotive OEMs and tier-1s
  • Play the role of the main contact of point to customers for introduction of software products, inquiries, troubleshooting and other technical supports
  • Preparation and delivery of technical training/presentations to the customers
  • Diagnose technical issues and problems and follow manuals for 1st level of troubleshooting before escalating to HQ for 2nd level of troubleshooting
  • Proactively engage engineers from HQ as the main interface between customers and the company
  • Holding a key role in software development projects by providing the customers with direct technical supports to build the latest software products on customers’ systems
  • Test, verify and validate software products prior to release to customers, running them on target embedded platforms then in the real car environments
  • Manage company demo vehicles; jobs are not limited to but include camera and other sensor set-up and calibration, software build on the demonstration system when the latest version is released and road data collection
  • Requirements

    Must

    • BA or MA in SW Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields
    • Fluent in German and English
    • Good knowledge in C/C++ language
    • Knowledge and experience in automotive applications (e.g. Vector) and applicable interfaces (e.g. CAN)
    • Understanding the concept of RTOS and experience on developing SW on Linux platform
    • 3+ years of FAE experience
    • Knowledge and experience in vehicle tests
    • Willingness to travel within European areas, sometimes for a long period of time

    Preferred

    • Knowledge in Computer Vision
    • Knowledge and experiences in developing BSP (Board Support Package) on Linux or RTOS
    • Knowledge and experience in software development models (e.g. Automotive ASPICE, CMMI) and Automotive Safety Standards & Processes (e.g. ASIL, ISO26262)
    • Valid driving license
